With a remote atmosphere, easy access to popular hiking trails, and proximity to lakes and waterfalls, Moosalamoo Campground is a perfect base for back-to-basics camping and outdoor exploration in one of Vermont’s most beautiful and lesser-known regions.

THE CAMPGROUND

Moosalamoo Campground is a small, rustic campground that offers a true forest camping experience. It’s ideal for tent campers, car campers, and those traveling with small RVs or camper vans looking to escape crowds and get closer to nature.

Campground features include:

• 19 first-come, first-served campsites
• Picnic tables and fire rings at each site
• Vault toilets (no showers)
• Drinking water (hand pump)
• Access to hiking and biking trails directly from the campground
• Quiet hours and a no-generator policy for peaceful camping

Moosalamoo’s forested sites are well-spaced and shaded, offering privacy and a quiet, natural atmosphere. You’ll fall asleep to the sounds of the woods and wake up just steps from miles of trails.

The campground is located in the heart of the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, which includes over 15,000 acres of public land. Outdoor activities include:
