THE PARK

Branbury State Park features a wide range of recreational activities, making it one of Vermont’s most popular warm-weather destinations. The park boasts a large sandy beach with designated swimming areas, picnic tables, canoe and kayak rentals, and boat access to Lake Dunmore. Nearby hiking trails lead into the Green Mountain National Forest, including paths to waterfalls and scenic overlooks.

The campground offers tent and RV campsites as well as lean-tos, with easy access to restrooms, showers, and potable water. Whether you're spending the day or the week, the park’s beautiful setting and well-maintained facilities make it a perfect base for your outdoor adventures.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Branbury State Park is a seasonal park, open during the warmer months when lake access and hiking are at their best. Peak season typically runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Hours:

  • Park Season: Late May – Mid-September
  • Day Use Hours: 10:00 am – Sunset
  • Campground Check-in: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Campground Check-out: 11:00 am
  • Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
