Located just outside of West Charleston, this low-key, family-friendly campground gives visitors direct access to the Clyde River — one of Vermont’s premier paddling waterways — and is surrounded by forests, fields, and wildlife-rich wetlands.

Whether you're canoeing down the river, casting a line, or simply unplugging by the fire, Clyde River Camping offers a true back-to-nature experience in one of the state’s most tranquil regions.


THE CAMPGROUND

Clyde River Camping is a small, rustic campground designed with simplicity and serenity in mind. With grassy tent sites, cozy cabins, and water access just steps away, it’s the perfect home base for outdoor adventure and quiet relaxation.

Campground features include:

  • Tent sites and primitive RV sites (no hookups)
  • Rustic riverside cabins available for rent
  • Fire pits and picnic tables at most sites
  • Clean composting toilets and outdoor showers
  • Direct access to the Clyde River for paddling or swimming
  • Canoe & kayak rentals on-site
  • Camp store with snacks, gear, and firewood

Office / Camp Store Hours:
Daily: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (extended hours on weekends)

Quiet Hours: 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM
